Message from IWNZ President Colleen Payne
Dear Inner Wheel Members
I
am very honoured to have been elected as President
of Inner Wheel New Zealand for the 2010-2011 year. I
thank you for giving me this privilege and look
forward to the challenges and rewards that this role
will bring to me.
We can now reflect back on the wonderful Conference
and 20th Birthday Celebration held in
Invercargill. The one year term for National
President and Vice President is now in place. As we
move forward into our third decade of National
Council, we need to maintain our positive and vital
outlook within our Districts and Clubs so that we
can attract new members into our Inner Wheel
organization. The challenge given to me at
Conference from Past President Annabelle Valentine
for our membership numbers to reach 2000 by the end
of my year is a challenging one. However I know that
if we all work hard, this could be done - so let’s
commit to this challenge and make it happen.
International Inner Wheel President Pallavi Shah has
given us this theme for 2010-2011:
Commit with conviction, compassion, consistency
I
hope that in embracing this theme it will inspire
you to make your commitment to Inner Wheel, have
compassion for others and be consistent in keeping
up the wonderful work we do as an organization to
benefit those less fortunate than ourselves.
To those of you who are taking office this year at
whatever level, thank you for your commitment and I
wish all members a successful, rewarding and fun
year.
In friendship
Colleen Payne
